Depending on the condition of the battery, the robust HD24 battery charger will charge 12 and 24 volt batteries to a maximum of 25 amp and 24 volt systems at 15 amp (the charge rate decreases automatically as the battery becomes charged.)
The full wave rectification system uses 4 x 25 amp silicon diodes, which are set on extra large heat dissipaters for continuous use. An extra large ammeter, heavy duty selector switch and resettable circuit breaker as standard features.
The unit is fitted with two heavy duty double wound transformers, which are dipped in silicon varnish to ensure long life and absolute safety. COMPAK battery chargers are full wave rectified, giving twice the effective charge rate of that of similar half wave rectified chargers. Diode rectified using 4 x 25 amp rated silicon diodes, which have an unlimited life and are over 40% more efficient than the plate rectifiers used in other chargers. The diodes are set on extra large heat sinks to allow for continuous operation .
